Let me begin by sending a prayer for the recovery and safety of former President Trump following the assassination attempt. It is disheartening to see how divisive American politics have become, leading to such extreme actions.
Here at Wired For Christ, we pray for our political leaders, wishing for their well-being and that they lead in a peaceful manner aligned with moral values, ultimately finding faith in Jesus as their Savior.
Is There A Link?
Having delved into 19 of the 22 chapters of Revelation (in our Wednesday night Bible studies), my thoughts are deeply immersed in interpreting its message, especially in relation to current events.
My perspective is not aligned with any political party. I base my worldview on Scripture. If it does not align with either Democrats or Republicans, that's fine. However, my viewpoints will be supported by Scripture, not by Fox News or CNN.
Having said that, this article will address two questions:
1) How might the assassination attempt on former President Trump be linked to the emergence of the antichrist and the End Times?
2) What should be the response of the church (followers of Jesus Christ)?
Let's get started...
No Nation Can Be First
While Trump's slogan emphasizes "America first," according to the Bible, no nation can hold the leading position in the antichrist system of governance that is divinely predicted to emerge, a situation that might be approaching sooner than expected.
In order for the antichrist system to come into effect, the mentality of prioritizing "my country first" needs to be eradicated.
The Antichrist Will Be A Globalist
From my perspective, according to the examination of the Scriptures, the Antichrist will only be able to rise to power through the backing of globalism.
He will promise peace (Daniel 9:27) but ultimately cause widespread devastation across the globe (Revelation 13).
Without his mark for transactions, no one will have the ability to engage in buying or selling, and those who do not worship Satan will face death.
A globalist framework is deemed essential for enabling such a dominant, worldwide rise.
Therefore, everyone who opposes globalization, knowingly or unknowingly, obstructs the influence of the antichrist spirit that is active in the world today, leading towards the End Times.
The world must accept globalism and the proximity to these events is closer than many perceive.
Anti-globalists Must Go
With anti-globalists like Trump out of the way, the world's political systems can proceed towards advancing the ultimate global system.
Various reasons will be presented for the assassination attempt on the ex-President. Yet, the true underlying force is the prince of darkness in this era (Ephesians 6:12), paving the path for the emergence of the peak of his evil realm.
How Should The Church Respond?
1. We should offer prayers for our leaders (Read Romans 13).
It is important to pray for their well-being regardless of their political affiliation, as we all desire to live in a secure and inclusive country.
Especially now, pray for the recovery and safety of former President Trump and for the spiritual well-being of both him and President Biden.
Salvation through Jesus' is for everyone, including Democrats and Republicans.
2. We should ensure our own readiness.
2 Corinthians 13:5 and 2 Peter 1:10-11 urge believers to examine themselves to confirm their faith.
Do you acknowledge Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10)?
Is there evidence of salvation in your life, with your good deeds shining before others, bringing glory to God (Matthew 5:16)?
Regardless of one's stance on eschatology and the rapture (Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation, or Post-Tribulation), ensure that you are prepared for His eventual return.
3. We should spread the message of the gospel.
Many individuals are preparing for various worldly crises, but Jesus reminded us, "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul, or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?" (Mark 8:36)
No amount of preparation can save one's soul.
People need Jesus, who is the sole path to God (John 14:6). He is the ultimate solution.
4. It is crucial to adhere to the guidance of Christ by treating others in the same way we desire to be treated, as outlined in Matthew 5:43-48 and Romans 13:8-10.
Both President Biden and former President Trump are married men with children and grandchildren.
None of us desire harm to come to ourselves or our family members due to our convictions. The same sentiment should apply to our political figures.
May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you.
Praise God for the scripture reference & not just your own perspective. I don’t hear this type of proclamation nowadays. 🙏🏽
