I Couldn't Believe My Ears - A Psychic Ad on the Radio?

Yesterday, while driving home, I heard a radio ad that made me slam on the mental brakes. It was not a typical commercial for a product or service—it was for psychic readings. What was presented as a harmless counseling session left my spirit very uneasy.

I do not believe it is a coincidence that I heard this commercial just a week after writing about the spiritual danger of horoscopes.

By God’s grace, I feel compelled to continue using this platform to share the truth. Friends, we must address these subjects, not based on personal opinions, but on what God, our Father in heaven, has revealed in His Word.

Salvation is not just about securing eternal life in heaven. It is also about living in a way that is set apart from the world’s system, a life that pleases God and brings Him glory (Ephesians 5:1; Matthew 5:16). That includes rejecting practices like psychics and spiritism.

The Bible’s Clear Warning

The Bible is clear: psychics, mediums, and anything connected to the occult are dangerous and forbidden (Deuteronomy 18:10-13).

Some psychics may seem accurate because they tap into demonic knowledge (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). These “insights” are bait, designed to pull people into spiritual darkness.

God’s Better Way

As Christians, we do not need psychics or spiritists to find direction for our lives. God’s way is simple, powerful, and effective:

• Study His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

• Pray for wisdom (James 1:5).

• Trust Him completely to guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-7).

God promises to lead us when we seek Him with all our hearts.

Reject the Counterfeit

Do not fall for the counterfeit guidance psychics offer. Trust Jesus for wisdom and direction.

Psychics are not harmless—they are a spiritual trap designed to separate you from God’s truth. Stay rooted in Him and His Word, and you will find the clarity and peace you need.
